Here is an assortment of photographs that I made at a variety of cultural events around the south. I was attempting to focus on large groups of people and how they gather together as a whole.

This collection was made during my final year as an undergraduate at Ohio University. It was attempt to make images that are abstract, painterly, and emotional.

I have tried my hand at many processes in my attempts to create images. The computer has always interested me, not only as a means of getting my images out there and seen, but also as a means of creating images. Most of these images were created between 1994 and 1996.

Fine art photography by photo artist aaron merritt. Photographed in Louisiana and california, some by the Mississippi river, some on river road plantations others on the road like jack karoac. Various styles of photography are included, such as black and white photography, digital photography, abstract photography, pictures of people, pictures from the south although i now live in san francisco.
